All hardware procured via externally funded sources and paid through the SAP system remains the property of Leiden University. This means the equipment is not your personal possession but is provided to you on loan by the University. In accordance with University and tax regulations, it is not permitted to sell or transfer this equipment for personal use. Consequently, when you leave the Observatory, any hardware acquired in this way must be returned.
Upon departure, you are permitted to temporarily take the equipment to your new institute for the sole purpose of transferring and securing your research data. Once this process has been completed, the equipment must be returned to Leiden Observatory.
